Elaine Collison, MPA

Ms. Collison is an associate director at CIDRAP and is responsible for the administration of the overall day-to-day internal operations and management of the center. This includes fiscal oversight and budget management, human resource management, and responsibility for staffing, scheduling, and managing Web application development projects. Ms. Collison supervises accounting, technology, and administrative staff.

She previously worked for the Minnesota Department of Health for many years in a variety of positions. Prior to joining CIDRAP in 2006, Ms. Collison was assistant director of the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Prevention and Control Division. In this position she provided administrative policy, fiscal, and operational direction to division programs, coordinated the development of the division's budget, prepared biennial budgets and fiscal notes for Senate and House bills, and monitored and responded to legislative activities. She also provided overall direction for the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System project; served as state co-chair of the state and local public health Disease Prevention and Control (DP&C) Leadership Team, working with local public health agencies in defining state and local DP&C roles and responsibilities; and assisted in the division's planning and response to public health emergencies.
